After the amazing donation of a gas oven and some baking equipment to go with from the DSA we are proud to announce the launch of this initiative.

The 2 ladies who currently run the feeding programme twice a week for the 100 children under 8 who come for ECD lessons can earn extra income some of which will go to buying fresh vegetables to supplement the very basic foods we are able to afford for these kids.

They were taught to make a healthy, even vegan if necessary, dog biscuits from ingredients readily available and the market for these is currently being explored.

By sourcing a  local market preferably at wholesale level through the charities active partners we are hoping to create an effective sustainable income stream that can help the Centre expand its kitchen capabilities by allowing the purchase of a fridge and eventually a freezer.
